The town of Boonsboro
was founded in 1792, and incorporated in 1831.  Located at the foot of
South Mountain in Washington County, Boonsboro is a one and a half hour drive from Baltimore, Maryland and Washington, D. C.  It is easily accessible from Interstate I-70.

Boonsboro is primarily a residential community of approximately 3,200 people.  As the town continues to grow in size, population and diversity, the citizens of Boonsboro have not lost sight of their rural beginnings.  The Town of Boonsboro continues to manage its growth with care, while cherishing its heritage and small town pride.

Mayor Charles "Skip" Kauffman, Members of the Town Council and Town Manager Debra Smith extend a warm Welcome to you.

The Town of Boonsboro is always looking for improvements on providing our citizens and visitors with the most up-to-date information as possible.  If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions regarding our town and website please feel free to contact our staff at: admin.ast@myactv.net
